Photos at last

Well at last I have managed to upload some photos
I can't seem to manoeuvre them at all but at least there is progress

London

Well we have arrived in "the big smoke" - London
After a long train ride from York we are now safely ensconced in our new hotel room
It's a budget room and will be our home for 3 days
Buckingham palace or "BP" for short will be on our agenda tomorrow afternoon
We will get our bag back tomorrow after losing all our chargers and shaver and books and pencils  etc so that is good as we had to buy new chargers to keep on air
Raining here and a bit cold but just settling in tonight and will look around a bit more tomorrow
Food is expensive.  2 bowls of soup and bread was about $20 Australian - bit pricey for us so we made a farewell to them and are back in the hotel room and will go to the supermarket to get a few things and maybe stick to some cheaper restaurants of we can find any
Well not much more news
We left lovely York this morning and are now starting the next leg of our journey - Europe

Scotland - Land of bogs and haggis

well we have arrived at the Isle of Mull
Our small group tour is great and the people are very friendly
We have connected with a few of the folk - a lovely lady from Italy called Antonella and another lovely lady called Irene from Bath and an interesting gentleman called Stanley who is a retired photographer.  We make a nice little group and had tea together tonight.

Updates from The Dales
Well it has been a busy few days as you can gather by the lack on posts or should I say dirth of entries
Well I will attempt to add a quick update
We have been to the Lakes district and Howard's castle and driven miles around the Dales
It is a very pretty area and the houses are so quaint and unlike anything we have back in Oz. Dinner out last night with relatives was nice and today we are off to Lincoln.
Lionel, I will pass on your regards and thanks for the lovely card I have sent same to you which made me laugh
Very cold here so the T shirts are not getting a lookin yet
Will upload a few photos but more will come tonight as we are visiting Julie's home town of Lincoln which I hear is beautiful as  their cathedral is world class

Philatelic Musuem

Hi folks
Well we finally found the museum
We managed to navigate the train system (the MRT) and bought tickets for the subway and got off at City Hall station
This is where the fun began
We walked and walked and walked in the searing heat and humidity
After going in the wrong direction we consulted the map yet again and made our way back to where we started and happened to see a sign for the Museum

We have arrived in sunny Singapore
Wow it's hot but it's nice too
Hotel is good and we shared a nice iced lemon tea lst night which was lovely
Saw 2 movies on the plane and just relaxed , only one crying baby. 🐸

Last Day in Australia

The family got together to celebrate our next Adventure.
We gathered at the Bridgewater Inn and enjoyed lively conversation and a lovely meal.
Thoroughly recommend this venue.
Well, this will be my last post in Australia. So. next time you hear from me I will be in Singapore
So, hang on to your seat belts and wait for take off.

My family and church and work friends  that will hopefully be reading this blog.

Frustrations today. I have been unable to load the french language kit onto my phone. I have spent about 3 hours now trying to do it and are now officially giving up. I have wasted time which I don't like to do and to top it all off got a $74 parking fine when I emerged from visiting my sick daughter today as well. So, feeling a bit cheesed off. I have managed to put a few pieces of jigsaw in though and at least listened to some nice music on my phone and hopefully spread some cheer at Taras today. I hope you both enjoy watching Julia and Julia as she loves blogging!!!

Update:
Now we are getting closer to our next European adventure where we are heading off to the Scottish Highlands and over to Paris where we get to use our french.
We have just had a lovely visit from my Uncle Denis from Sydney.
We showed him some of SA's great sights such as Port Elliott and Strathalbyn and the weather was really great too. Sun and blue skies.
